SOLERMER was created in 1964, after Georges de Fety finished studying in Oxford.
F. Chader, Micheline de Fety’s father, supervised an important national airline company and was awarded the French Legion d’Honneur and was also Knight of the Malta Order, while his brother, J. Chader was Minister of Finance.
J. Bugnot, Micheline’s grand-father, died in the French Army in 1918, and was from the French region Auvergne as Georges’ grand-father, P. Passeret, who had for second daughter I. Passeret, mother of Georges de Fety.
L. de Fety, Georges’ father, died for France in 1941, in the French Free Forces of the Resistance.
I. de Fety, George’s and Micheline's daughter, was blessed in Rome by the Pope John Paul II.
JC. Chader, Micheline de Fety’s brother, founded the Art Galery Le Cadre, which was later taken over by their father, F. Chader.
Domenico Feti was in Rome a student of Cigoli from 1604 to 1613. From 1613 to 1621, he was influenced by a range of styles and artists. He will develop, thanks to this, a very original style of painting. He then moved to Venice to be influenced by Caravaggio and changed style to get close to Venetian art, which he loved, so that he is considered as a member of the Venetian school.
